Hamburg, November 14, 2025 – Following the closure of the old location in 2021 due to construction, open youth work in Boberg has a new home. The new CLIPPO youth center was officially opened today, Friday. Sprinkenhof GmbH, the city's project developer, was responsible for the project, which was largely financed by the "Lively Neighborhoods" urban development fund. The project demonstrates how the HGV Group efficiently addresses public needs: The building, costing approximately €1.9 million, was completed on schedule and now offers 247 square meters of space for interaction and creativity.

Climate protection and accessibility combined

The building, realized by Sprinkenhof, sets standards in sustainability and inclusion. It features a wood-look facade and the use of sustainable materials such as glulam in the structural frame. Technically, the building is equipped with state-of-the-art technology: An 11 kW heat pump, combined with underfloor heating and a rooftop photovoltaic system, ensures low-emission operation and consistently low energy costs. Particular emphasis was also placed on accessibility: A new elevator and barrier-free access both indoors and outdoors guarantee participation for all young people.

Strong Partnership for Social Infrastructure

At the opening ceremony, Finance Senator Dr. Andreas Dressel emphasized the role of the city's real estate subsidiary: "My special thanks go to Sprinkenhof GmbH, which realized the new building with great dedication and expertise. Public funds are being invested here in a sustainable meeting place where children can feel at home." Martin Sowinski, Managing Director of Sprinkenhof GmbH, also emphasized the ecological aspect: "By using sustainable materials and a climate-friendly energy concept, we have created a future-proof space that fosters interaction."

Investment in Social Cohesion

With this new building, the city's corporate group is making a concrete contribution to neighborhood development. The new CLIPPO offers significantly improved conditions for educational work and extracurricular learning, featuring group rooms, an open kitchen, and a spacious terrace. The reopening fills an important gap in the childcare services offered in the Bergedorf district and underscores the ability of the HGV's affiliated companies to create not only economic but also social added value for Hamburg's urban community.
